I did not always know what I wanted to do. In fact, I started my career feeling completely lost. I had studied a degree that did not feel right, landed in roles that looked impressive on paper, but deep down I knew I was on the wrong path.
I grew up across Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, and London, surrounded by high-performing professionals and corporate environments. As it often goes, we become a product of what we see. For me, there was no other option than university and the corporate ladder. It was deeply drilled into me. So I did what I thought I was supposed to do. I completed a Bachelor in Communications, gained experience in PR and Sales, and ticked all the boxes.
When I moved back to London, I found myself in a PR agency. Picture this: me in heels, racing through Soho, rushing to Vogue to pick up a feature for one of our design clients. It was very Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada. In between that I was hustling journalists for media coverage, writing media releases and went to some cool events. From the outside, it looked glamorous. I was living overseas and people constantly praised what I was doing.
But on the inside, I felt stuck. The truth was, I could not see a future for myself in that world. I kept asking: is this it? Did I really study and work this hard just to feel boxed in by something that did not fit?
When I returned to Australia, I knew I wanted a different path. I had always been drawn to people-orientated work. I can talk for hours (those of you who work with me know this to be true), but I am also deeply introspective, strategic and I need work that is mentally challenging. I have always been fascinated by psychology and human behaviour, and I wanted a career where I could add real value to people’s lives rather than simply push products or chase glossy features as I had in PR and Sales.
Back in Australia, I made a decision. I returned to university and completed my Postgraduate qualification in Psychological Science, covering the equivalent of a Bachelor in Psychological Science in just one year (yes, I was STRETCHED but I was driven). It was intense, but it gave me the depth I craved and confirmed what I had always known: I was endlessly curious about people and human behaviour.
When I finished, I began my job hunt with real intention. I was no longer chasing what looked good on paper. I was searching for something that felt right. That was when I saw it: a role in career consulting. It brought together everything I had been longing for in work - people, connection, strategy, helping, communicating, clear outcomes, results, and diversity.
It screamed out to me. For the first time, I could see a path where my skills, my interests and my desire to make a difference all came together.
From there, my career shifted. I began as a Career Consultant, moved into coaching, and eventually became Head Career Coach. Working alongside recruiters and HR leaders gave me an insider’s view of how hiring really works and what makes candidates stand out. It also showed me how much clarity, psychology, and strategy matter when you are trying to land a role that truly fits.
Since then, I have delivered over 1,000 coaching sessions and worked with professionals across just about every industry. CEOs, Directors, Project Managers, Veterans, Architects, Administrators, Executive Assistants, Operations Managers, Dietitians, BDMs, and many more in both the private and public sectors have trusted me to help them move forward.
I bring a practical but deeply human approach to the job search. After living more than 10 years in Singapore, three years in London, and now back in Australia, having navigated a career change, I understand the identity shifts, cultural changes and uncertainty that come with big transitions -Â whether that is moving countries, industries or careers.
Now, I am obsessed with teaching others how to make the kind of changes I made. I help people navigate tough job markets, move through career crossroads, and find work that actually fits - work you can be proud of, not just tolerate.
If I could make that shift for myself, so can you. My mission is simple: to help you get unstuck, reconnect with who you are and build a career that finally feels like it was made for you.
